Todd, T.C.; Selekman, M.D. (1991): Beyond structural-strategic family therapy: Integrating other brief systemic therapies. In: T.C. Todd and M.D. Selekman (Hg.) Family Therapy Approaches with Adolescent Substance Abusers, Boston, MA: Allyn and Bacon, 241-274

This chapter presents a brief integrative family therapy approach which incorporates the best elements of many of the therapeutic approaches, such as the solution-focused model, Michael White's cybernetic-systemic model, the Milan systemic model, and the strategic approach of Madanes. Those assumptions that facilitate the integration of these brief system therapies are discussed. The authors offer guidelines for intervention design, selection, and implementation. A case example is included.
